About Jenny Grothe, Nutritionist, Coach, Author, and Motivational Speaker

Jenny’s life changed during the Fall of 2007. That’s when she decided (for the last time) to shed 60 pounds, trade unhealthy habits for good ones, and start “leading” her life rather than letting her life “lead” her. It was at that time she learned about clean eating and is now a published author and Founder of the popular Facebook Fan Page, “All Things Fitness for Gals” which boasts more than 150,000 fans and grows by an average of 500 each week. Jenny’s passion for women’s health led to getting her Nutritionist Certificate and becoming a training and endurance coach. Jenny has helped women all over the world transform their lives through healthier eating habits and regular exercise. Two years ago she launched the Jen-Fit Lifestyle Program which is a 12 week course helping women incorporate healthier habits. Four years ago Jenny published her first cookbook – “75 Ways to Love Your Oatmeal – Great Tasting Recipes that Keep You Lean” which is now in its second printing. Jenny is also a freelance contributing author for M&F Hers, Oxygen, GORGO, NPC News Online, and Haute Health magazine and speaks as needed on behalf of Forte Speakers Bureau. Heavily immersed in social media, Jenny is Brand Ambassador with FitFluential and has represented some of the most recognizable names in the fitness and health industries. Prior to being an advocate and transformation specialist in the women’s health and fitness industry, Jenny spent 15 years in Corporate Sales & Marketing where she had the privilege to learn from the best, live abroad, and travel throughout Europe. For fun Jenny loves to run and weight-train. Jenny has competed in multiple physique competitions and has to date run 5 marathons – including Boston in 2011 and 2013 and most recently New York in 2014. First and most importantly, Jenny is most thankful for her family. She married her sweetheart of 23 years and is the adoptive mom of two boys, Dakota (13) and Zane (5). As an active member in the LDS church, Jenny believes in serving and helping others.

Seasons Eating… for Fall!

Fall is one of my favorite times of year. After a long, hot, very active summer, I’m ready for the calm that fall brings… not to mention the beautiful colors in the mountains, cooler breezes, and home-cooked comfort food. The kids are back in school, and schedules have set in. Fall brings routine.

There aren’t […]

Tone It Up… By Trying Something New This Fall!

I’ve shared my story with you before. It wasn’t until I was in my late 30s that I finally took control of my health. As a teenager I didn’t have to work at it, in my 20s I coasted, and by my 30s it finally caught up to me. I was a prime example […]

More Fit at Every Age

As a teenager, I took my health for granted. I was active, involved in school sports, participated in drill-team, and led what I felt then was a healthy lifestyle. I kept busy, and looking back it seems I was always on the go.

Food was another story. I never thought twice about what I ate, […]

Buff, Tough, and Beautiful

“Skinny is beautiful.”

“Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels.”

Strong is beautiful. Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels.

We are programmed from a very young age to think that the ideal “look” is to be thin. We want to be skinny, so we are forever dieting, skipping meals, completely excluding sugar, fats, carbs […]

Get Ab-Tastic Results With These 3 Exercise Favorites!

How many articles have been written about abs? Countless. It’s one area that I’m guessing every single one of us have wanted to improve at one time or another. My Favorite SUMMER Gourmet No-Cook Meal

I don’t know about you, but during summer, I hate being in the kitchen. I want to be outside, with my kids, playing. Cooking requires me to be inside, a slave to my stove, and that’s not top on my list.

I want meals that are easy to prepare. Simple. Fresh. I want something I […]

Which Fad Diet is Right for You?

All of them… and none of them.

Did you know that the global weight loss market exceeded $586 billion dollars in 2014? The US is the largest contributor, reaching more than $300 billion. This is according to a new healthcare market research report conducted by MarketsandMarkets.

I share this with you only to give you an […]

Sexy From The Inside Out

What do you think of when you hear the word “sexy”?

My opinion has changed.

I never ever considered myself sexy. Oh my gosh… not me. Ever. I looked at others and felt they were sexy, but I definitely wasn’t. I didn’t feel that I had what it took to be sexy. I didn’t look like […]

10 Healthy Holiday Tips to Keep You on Track

I love the holidays. I think my last article started that way, but it’s true. I love family, tradition, decorations, entertaining, and everything about Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

The holidays center around meaningful relationships… and food. November and December are notoriously known for parties, get-togethers, dinners out, and all forms of social […]

Tips for a “Thinner” Thanksgiving

I love the holidays. I host Thanksgiving in our home every year. My mom used to keep that tradition, and she was quite the hostess, too. Everything had to be just so – her best china, crystal, and silver perfectly displayed. She would plan the meal weeks in advance and start preparations as early […]
